Self Advocates’ Potluck and Forum

An event every month that begins at 5:30 pm on day First of the month, repeating until November 7, 2022
Self Advocates are adults living in our community on thier own, with family or in residential services. They come together for comradery, socialization, to learn about advocating for themselves, and volunteer opportunities they have for AbilityPoint community events. The self-advocates have events they sponsor for the community.
Everyone brings a dish to contribute to the Potluck. Below are the themes:
January 03: New Year’s Party! Bring your favorite finger food.
February 07: Valentine’s Day! Bring something red or pink or Valentine’s treat
March 07: St. Patty’s Party! Green is the theme
April 04: Chef Salad! Bring a favorite topping. We’ll supply the lettuce and dressings.
May 02: Taco Fiesta! Bring taco toppings. We’ll supply the taco meat.
June 06: Pool Party! We’ll supply the main dish. Bring any side you’d like.
July 11: (Office Closed on July 4) July 4th Shindig! Bring your favorite summer food or something red, white or blue.
August 01: Self-Advocates favorites! Bring your favorite snack or meal.
September 12: (Office closed on Sept 5) Chili Feed! We supply the chili. You bring toppings.
October 03: Hallowfeast!
November 07: (Last meeting of the year) Thanksgiving! Bring your favorite side dish. We will provide the turkey.
