Membership is open to anyone passionate about our mission and the work we do that impacts the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and our community.
Membership plays a special role in the livelihood of our organization. Since 1953, AbilityPoint was built and subsidized by membership dues. Families have been passionate about the services and assistance provided by AbilityPoint and excited about the possibilities of future growth and the impact AbilityPoint will have for future families. Membership is open to anyone passionate about our mission and the work we do that impacts the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and our community.
When you become a member of AbilityPoint, you will also become a member of The Arc of the United States.

Information – receive a quarterly newsletter, bi-monthly e-newsletter, a weekly roundup of major events on Capitol Hill and up-to-the minute information about The Arc’s advocacy activities, programs and events.
Resources and Support – They will help you connect with a local chapter for services and supports and you can take advantage of information and resources available on thearc.org including research, fact sheets, national programs such as Autism NOW: The National Resource and Information Center and the National Center on Criminal Justice and Disability, and public policy information.

- You are eligible to participate in AbilityPoint’s premiere programs
- You will receive a copy of AbilityPoint’s Annual Report

- Vote to elect Board of Directors and on issues advertised for membership meetings
Membership Types
Family $50
Family membership is for two adults and children living in the same household. The two adults each receive a vote. Family membership covers children (under age 18) participating in programs.
Individual $30
For single individuals 18 years old and older. Individuals receive one vote.
Associate Individual (non-voting) $20
For single individuals 18 years who do not want to vote at meetings, but would like to participate in paid programs.
Associate Group/Agency (non-voting) $100
For agencies, organizations, groups that want to support our mission
