AbilityPoint provides unique education programs and community experiences that help broaden horizons, increase self-confidence and independence, so they enjoy life to the fullest. Programs at AbilityPoint promote the general welfare, including the physical and mental health of those we serve and increase the public’s awareness and acceptance at the same time.
Information and Education
AbilityPoint provides needed information and education as well as a connection to needed resources and services. Learning series opportunities are offered to families and the community with seminars and workshops on current issues and needs such as understanding guardianship, transition, benefits and services. AbilityPoint also provides community education and awareness helping to break down stereotypes and expanding inclusion and acceptance.
Self Advocacy promotion
AbilityPoint along with parents, guardians, and partnering agencies advocate for the rights and wellbeing of those living with Intellectual and or Developmental Disabilities locally as well as at the State and Federal levels.
Targeted Case Management
AbilityPoint, Inc is an External Case Management Agency that works with people who may or may not receive services from other agencies. Case Managers assist each individual and his/her support network to identify, select, obtain, and coordinate available resources and natural supports. The Arc has the largest external case management program in Kansas.
