Shooting Stars (Self Advocates)

The Shooting Stars Self-Advocates group was developed with the goal in mind of helping the participating adults to become leaders and active members of their community with a voice that is not only heard, but continually growing stronger, and that stands up for their rights and the rights of those around them.

Meets once a month for our monthly informational meeting and potluck dinner with many additional volunteering and get together activities.

Many of our Shooting Stars volunteer throughout the year to support programs at AbilityPoint. They sponsor the Easter Egg Hunt in the spring and the Spookville Trunk or Treat in the fall.

All participants need to set up an account in Camp InTouch and complete all necessary paperwork before they can attend. Anyone needing assistance can contact our program staff at 943-1191. If you’d like to apply to register for activities, click here.
