Kansas Sunflower Swap Meet for Charity Returns March 6–7, 2026 at Century II 100% of Proceeds Benefit AbilityPoint
Community members, car enthusiasts, and supporters of AbilityPoint are encouraged to attend, shop, and be part of an event that proves hobbies can have a heart and a lasting impact.
The 50th annual Kansas Sunflower Swap Meet for Charity returns to downtown Wichita on Friday and Saturday, March 6–7, 2026, at the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center, bringing together automotive enthusiasts, collectors, vendors, and the community for a weekend that blends passion with purpose.
The Swap Meet is owned and operated by John Saindon, who purchased the event in 2016 with the sole intention of ensuring that 100% of proceeds benefit AbilityPoint. Each year, Saindon leads the extensive planning and coordination required to bring the event to life, working alongside dedicated volunteers and longtime vendors to ensure its continued success.
Since its designation as a charitable fundraiser, the Kansas Sunflower Swap Meet has become one of Wichita’s most anticipated specialty events, donating more than $200,000 directly to AbilityPoint, a Wichita-based nonprofit serving individuals of all ages and their families with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“We are deeply grateful to John for his vision, generosity, and commitment,” said Kevin Fish, Executive Director of AbilityPoint. “John doesn’t just sponsor this event, he devotes his time and resources to make it a success so that every dollar raised supports people of all abilities. We are equally thankful for the volunteers, vendors, and attendees who make the Swap Meet possible year after year. Their collective support truly changes lives.”
The two-day event features numerous vendors offering automotive parts, tools, memorabilia, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind finds, drawing attendees from across Kansas and surrounding states. What sets the Kansas Sunflower Swap Meet apart is its unwavering charitable mission — every ticket sold directly supports AbilityPoint’s programs and services.
