Perform Stories They’ve Written in a Fun, Family-Friendly Show
Storybook Alive is the joyful culmination of a summer of learning at Youth Education Summer Socialization (YESS) at AbilityPoint, a one-of-a-kind program supporting children and teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Students from the Youth, Tots, and Teen groups have spent weeks writing original stories, designing costumes, and rehearsing skits that bring their characters to life. This imaginative, family-friendly showcase highlights their growth in communication, social-emotional skills, and self-expression—and promises plenty of smiles for all who attend.
Highlight Story: “The Case of the Spaghetti Thief”
Someone’s been sneaking noodles… and Chef Alfredo is sauced! Come watch our YAC group as they search high and low (and under the meatballs) to crack the case of the missing spaghetti! It’s a goofy, giggle-filled mystery you won’t want to miss!
